From smoky Kansas City barbecue and Boulevard beer to candlelit jazz clubs and basement performances, each moment is intentionally curated to capture the spirit of the city.

It is a hosted cultural salon — shared with a small circle of guests who value music, place, and meaningful travel.

The Experience

Your weekend begins in a private Kansas City residence, where guests gather over a catered Kansas City barbecue dinner and local craft beer before heading out together for the first evening of live jazz.

Across the weekend, you’ll explore the historic roots of Kansas City’s music scene, experience legendary venues, and share meals and conversations in an atmosphere designed for comfort and connection. Evenings unfold with reserved seating and chauffeured transportation, allowing you to relax fully into the rhythm of the city.

Between outings, the house becomes part of the experience — a place for morning coffee, late-night reflections, and the easy camaraderie that emerges when travel slows down.

  • Green Hat weekends are intentionally small and affirming spaces where guests can relax into shared cultural experiences. Many of our travelers are women and LGBTQ individuals, though all who appreciate respectful, inclusive environments are welcome.

  • Green Hat experiences are hosted several times throughout the year in small groups. Additional dates are added as interest develops to ensure each gathering remains intimate and thoughtfully curated.
